Fieldwire Pricing in 2026: What Teams of 5 to 40 Pay

Fieldwire costs $39 to $89 per user a month, and every person you invite counts. What teams of 5 to 40 pay on annual and monthly billing, and how overages are billed.

Fieldwire pricing: the short answer

Fieldwire, the construction field management app owned by Hilti, costs $39, $64 or $89 per user per month on annual billing for its Pro, Business and Business Plus plans, and $54, $79 or $104 if you pay month to month. On annual billing that is $468, $768 or $1,068 per user per year. The Basic plan is free for up to 5 users, 3 projects and 100 sheets. A 10-person team pays $390, $640 or $890 a month on annual billing, and a 20-person team pays $780, $1,280 or $1,780. Every person you invite counts as a user, subcontractors included, unless they pay for their own Fieldwire plan. People you add beyond your annual licences are billed at the higher monthly rate until you buy more licences or remove them. RFIs, submittals, change orders and budget are only on Business Plus. Custom contracts, with unlimited-user options, start at 50 licences. Prices were checked on October 5, 2026.

Fieldwire prints its prices on its website, which Procore does not, and that makes it easy to believe you know what it will cost. Three paid tiers, a price per user, multiply, done.

The surprises come later, and all of them are in the counting. Who is a user? What happens when you add six people in March to a plan you bought in January? Which tier is the feature you need actually on? The answers are public, but they are spread across a pricing page and several help articles.

This report puts them in one place. It works out what teams of 5 to 40 pay per month and per year, on annual and on monthly billing, has a calculator for your own team size, and shows how to stop the bill growing faster than the team. Disclosure: we make SubShare, a crew scheduling tool. It appears in one labeled section near the end.

How much does Fieldwire cost in 2026?

Fieldwire costs $39, $64 or $89 per user per month in 2026 when billed annually, and $54, $79 or $104 when billed month to month. Those are the Pro, Business and Business Plus plans; a fourth plan, Basic, is free. On annual billing the paid plans work out to $468, $768 and $1,068 per user per year. Each tier includes everything in the one below it, and above them sit custom contracts, which Fieldwire quotes individually.

Fieldwire is a field management app for superintendents, foremen and field crews. It puts the current drawings on a phone or tablet and pins tasks and punch items to them. It is owned by Hilti and sold as Fieldwire by Hilti. The figures here are US dollar list prices from its pricing page on October 5, 2026.

Prices and features from fieldwire.com/pricing and Fieldwire's help center, checked October 5, 2026. Each plan includes the features of the plans above it in the table. Taxes not included.

One caution if you are comparing sources: review sites lag behind. On October 5, 2026, Capterra listed Fieldwire Business at $74 a month, while Fieldwire's own pricing page and help center both showed $79. When two numbers disagree, the vendor's pricing page is the one you will be billed from.

Monthly or annual billing: which costs less?

Annual billing costs $15 less per user per month on every Fieldwire tier, a figure Fieldwire's help center states outright. Because the saving is a flat $15, it is worth the most on the cheapest plan: 28% off Pro, 19% off Business and 14% off Business Plus. For 10 users that is $1,800 a year, whichever tier you are on.

Monthly billing buys flexibility. Fieldwire says there are no long-term contracts and that you can cancel from the Account tab. On monthly billing you also stop paying for a person soon after you remove them. A fair rule: put the people you are sure of on annual licences, and let short-term people ride on the monthly rate.

Fieldwire monthly cost for 10 users: Pro $390 annual or $540 monthly, Business $640 or $790, Business Plus $890 or $1,040.
Fieldwire's monthly list cost for 10 users on annual and on monthly billing, October 2026: Pro $390 or $540, Business $640 or $790, Business Plus $890 or $1,040. Monthly billing adds $15 per user per month on every tier.

What does Fieldwire cost for 5, 10, 20 and 40 users?

On annual billing, Fieldwire costs $195 to $445 a month for 5 users, $390 to $890 for 10, $780 to $1,780 for 20 and $1,560 to $3,560 for 40, depending on the plan. The rule is simple: multiply the per-user price by everyone who needs a login. The table does it for five team sizes, with the yearly total in the last column.

Fieldwire pricing by team size on annual billing, October 2026
UsersPro per monthBusiness per monthBusiness Plus per monthPer year, Pro to Business Plus
5$195$320$445$2,340–$5,340
10$390$640$890$4,680–$10,680
20$780$1,280$1,780$9,360–$21,360
30$1,170$1,920$2,670$14,040–$32,040
40$1,560$2,560$3,560$18,720–$42,720

Our arithmetic from Fieldwire's list prices of $39, $64 and $89 per user per month, checked October 5, 2026. On monthly billing add $15 per user per month: $75 more a month at 5 users, $600 more at 40. A team of up to 5 can stay on the free Basic plan within 3 projects and 100 sheets.

Fieldwire's list price has no volume discount. The twentieth user costs exactly what the second did, so the bill is a straight line: on Business, every 10 people add $640 a month. The line only bends at 50 licences, where custom pricing starts.

Line chart of Fieldwire's monthly cost from 5 to 40 users: Pro rises to $1,560, Business to $2,560, Business Plus to $3,560.
Fieldwire's monthly list cost from 5 to 40 users on annual billing. At 40 users Pro costs $1,560 a month, Business $2,560 and Business Plus $3,560. Each added user costs the same as the one before.

Fieldwire cost calculator

To work out what Fieldwire costs for your own team, multiply the number of users by the plan's monthly price, then by 12 for the year. For example, 14 users on Business billed annually cost 14 × $64 = $896 a month, or $10,752 a year. Enter your own numbers and the calculator does the same sum at Fieldwire's US dollar list prices.

Everyone who needs a login, subcontractors included.

Fieldwire's US dollar list prices per user per month, checked October 5, 2026. Taxes not included.

Two things the sum cannot know. It assumes every user is on the same billing cycle for the whole year, and it counts only the people you enter. Short-term users you add later are billed differently, as the next two sections explain.

Who counts as a paid Fieldwire user?

Everyone you invite counts as a paid Fieldwire user. Fieldwire's help center says each person invited to your account or to a project, “whether it is as a follower, member, or admin,” is counted as a licence. A follower has the most limited permissions in a project and still costs the same as an admin. The account owner is the only one who pays.

Three rules soften that, and one catches people out:

  • You pay for unique people, not project seats. One foreman on five of your projects is one licence.
  • People with their own paid plan are free to you. If a subcontractor already pays for Fieldwire, inviting them adds nothing to your bill.
  • Charges are prorated. You pay for the time a person had access, not for the whole period.
  • A downgrade lands on you. If someone on your account drops their own plan to Basic, you become responsible for their licence.

Fieldwire's own advice on subcontractors is candid. Add them if they will mark up sheets, comment on tasks and add photos. If they only need to see the result, send them plan exports and reports instead. That costs nothing extra, though Fieldwire notes it loses the live back-and-forth, because replies from the people you share with are not captured.

What happens when you add users in the middle of a contract?

When you add users in the middle of a Fieldwire contract, Fieldwire lets you invite them and bills you afterwards. It does not stop you going over the number of licences you hold, and how it charges for the extra people depends on your billing cycle.

On annual billing, each extra user is charged at the monthly rate of $54, $79 or $104. The charge lands on the first of the month for people added during the previous month, and it repeats every month until you buy annual licences for them or remove them.

On monthly billing, the charge arrives the following Monday, prorated for the days the person had access. Either way, removing someone produces a credit against your next charge.

Two details make this cheaper than it sounds. Extra annual licences are prorated to your renewal date: in Fieldwire's own example, a second Business licence bought halfway through the year costs $384, not $768. And annual licences are not tied to named people, so a seat freed by one person can go to the next.

A worked example: six trade foremen on a four-month job

Say a contractor holds 12 annual Business licences, $9,216 a year, and brings six trade foremen onto a four-month fit-out. The table shows the two ways to pay for them.

Six extra Business users on a 12-licence annual Fieldwire plan
How the six are paid forArithmeticCost
Left on the monthly rate for 4 months6 × $79 × 4$1,896
Six annual licences, bought with 8 months left on the term6 × $64 × 8$3,072
Six annual licences, bought with 4 months left on the term6 × $64 × 4$1,536

Our arithmetic from Fieldwire's list prices and its proration rule, checked October 5, 2026. Annual licences bought mid-term stay usable until renewal, so the second row also buys four more months of seats.

For a short stint, the monthly rate wins. It tips the other way once an extra person will be around for most of what is left of your term: about 70% of the remaining months on Pro, 80% on Business and 85% on Business Plus. Below that, leave them on the monthly rate. Above it, buy the licence.

Is Fieldwire free?

Yes, for small teams. Fieldwire's Basic plan costs nothing for up to 5 unique users, 3 projects and 100 sheets, and includes plan viewing, task management, files, photos and specifications. The limits are counted across the whole account, not per project.

Go over any one of them and Fieldwire emails you with two choices: upgrade to a paid plan, or cut back to within the limits. A full drawing set for one commercial job can use up 100 sheets on its own, so check your sheet count before your user count. Basic has no email or phone support; email support starts on Pro and phone support on Business.

Which Fieldwire plan do you need?

For a field team that works from drawings and punch lists, Pro is enough. Choose Business for custom forms, the BIM viewer or integrations, and Business Plus only if RFIs, submittals, change orders or budget have to run through Fieldwire. Pick by the one feature you cannot work without, because the whole account pays for it.

  • Pro ($39) if the field needs unlimited sheets and projects, sheet compare, and reports such as punch list reports and as-built exports.
  • Business ($64) if you need custom forms for daily reports and inspections, the BIM viewer, or integrations with tools such as SharePoint, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams and Power BI.
  • Business Plus ($89) if RFIs, submittal management, change orders or budget have to run through Fieldwire. It is also the only tier with the QuickBooks Online integration.

The step from Pro to Business Plus is $50 per user per month. For 10 users that is $6,000 a year for four tools, so it is worth asking how many RFIs and submittals you actually process before you take it. If those tools are what push you up a tier, price the platforms built around them as well. We compare both in Fieldwire vs Procore and Fieldwire vs PlanGrid (Forma Build).

Fieldwire's four plans by feature: reports from Pro, forms and integrations from Business, RFIs only on Business Plus.
What each Fieldwire plan includes, October 2026. Basic ($0) covers plans, tasks and photos for 3 projects and 100 sheets. Pro ($39) adds unlimited projects, reports and sheet compare. Business ($64) adds forms, the BIM viewer and integrations. Only Business Plus ($89) has RFIs, submittals, change orders and budget.

What do custom contracts and unlimited users cost?

Fieldwire does not publish a price for custom contracts. Its pricing page says custom pricing is available “starting at 50 licenses,” and that custom contracts can include unlimited-user options, single sign-on, API access, a dedicated account manager and training.

At list price, 50 users cost $23,400 a year on Pro and $53,400 on Business Plus, so that is the size of bill at which it pays to ask for a quote. It is also where a flat-fee platform starts to compete; see when Procore costs less than Fieldwire. One more rule from the help center: accounts on an invoice agreement add licences in batches of at least 10.

What does Fieldwire cost in euros, pounds and other currencies?

In euros, Fieldwire costs €39, €64 or €89 per user per month on annual billing, the same numbers as in US dollars with a different symbol. In pounds it costs £33, £54 or £76. Fieldwire's pricing page has a selector with 16 currencies, and the Canadian and Australian dollars have their own price points too. The gap between annual and monthly billing is not $15 everywhere: it is £12 or £13 in the UK and about C$20 in Canada.

How do you keep a Fieldwire bill down?

You keep a Fieldwire bill down by paying only for people who actively use it, and by putting each of them on the cheaper billing cycle for how long they will stay. These seven habits follow directly from Fieldwire's billing rules:

  1. Count unique people across all projects before you pick a tier. That number, not your project count, sets the bill.
  2. Buy annual licences for the core team and leave short-term people on the monthly rate.
  3. Remove people the day they leave a job. You get a credit, and an annual seat frees up for the next person.
  4. Ask subcontractors who already use Fieldwire on other jobs to join with their own paid account.
  5. Send plan exports and reports to trades who only need to see the work, not change it.
  6. Stay off Business Plus unless RFIs and submittals really run through Fieldwire.
  7. Take people who only open Fieldwire to see where they are working off the account.

The last one is often the biggest saving. On many crews, the people who mark up sheets and close punch items are a handful. Everyone else needs an address, a start time and a drawing.

Is Fieldwire worth the price?

For the people who work from drawings, usually yes. A superintendent, a few foremen and a project engineer get current sheets, tasks pinned to rooms, punch lists and reports for $39 to $64 each, at a price you can check before you talk to anyone. On Software Advice, 99 reviewers give Fieldwire 4.6 out of 5 overall and 4.4 for value for money, as read on October 5, 2026.

It is harder to justify at the edge of the account. A subcontractor's foreman who opens the app twice a week costs the same as the superintendent who lives in it. So does an apprentice who only needs to know which site to drive to. Fieldwire's pricing is built around active users, and the cheapest way to run it is to keep the account to them.

If you are weighing Fieldwire against other tools, we priced six of them for the same 10-person team in Fieldwire alternatives. For the wider field, see our comparison of Procore, Buildertrend, Fieldwire, PlanGrid and CompanyCam.

Where does SubShare fit?

Disclosure: SubShare is our product, and it does not replace Fieldwire. It has no sheet markups, punch lists or RFIs. It does one of the things crews open Fieldwire for: showing each person where they are working this week.

SubShare is a crew scheduling board. A foreman or supervisor puts each job on a person and drags it when plans change. Each worker gets one permanent link by text or WhatsApp that opens their week in the phone's browser, with the site address, the access code and the attached drawings. There is no app to install and no account, and the plan keeps working without signal once it has been opened.

SubShare is priced by crew size, not per person: free for up to 10 people, $29 a month for up to 20 and $59 for up to 40. One way to split it: keep Fieldwire for the people who work from drawings and move everyone who only needs their schedule to SubShare. For a 20-person crew with four Fieldwire Pro users, that is $156 plus $29, or $185 a month, against $780 with all 20 on Fieldwire Pro. You can try the demo board without signing up.

Fieldwire pricing: frequently asked questions

How much does Fieldwire cost per user?

Fieldwire costs $39 per user per month on Pro, $64 on Business and $89 on Business Plus when billed annually. Month-to-month billing costs $15 more per user: $54, $79 and $104. The Basic plan is free for up to 5 users.

How much does Fieldwire cost per year?

On annual billing Fieldwire costs $468 per user per year on Pro, $768 on Business and $1,068 on Business Plus. A 10-person team pays $4,680, $7,680 or $10,680 a year, and a 20-person team pays twice that.

How do I calculate what Fieldwire will cost my team?

Multiply the number of users by the per-user price for your plan: $39, $64 or $89 a month on annual billing, or $54, $79 or $104 month to month. Count everyone you invite, including subcontractors without their own plan. For example, 14 users on Business billed annually cost $896 a month, or $10,752 a year.

Does Fieldwire have a free plan?

Yes, for small teams. The Basic plan is free for up to 5 unique users, 3 projects and 100 sheets across the whole account. Once you pass any one of those limits, Fieldwire asks you to upgrade or cut back.

Does Fieldwire charge for subcontractors?

Yes. Fieldwire's help center says adding subcontractors increases your user count whether they join as a follower, a member or an admin. The exception is a subcontractor who already pays for their own Fieldwire plan; you are not charged for them.

Do followers count as paid users on Fieldwire?

Yes. Followers have the most limited permissions in a project, but Fieldwire counts followers, members and admins the same way: one licence each.

Is Fieldwire cheaper on annual billing?

Yes, by $15 per user per month on every tier. That is 28% less on Pro, 19% less on Business and 14% less on Business Plus, or $1,800 a year for a 10-person team.

Which Fieldwire plan includes RFIs and submittals?

Only Business Plus, at $89 per user per month on annual billing. It adds RFIs, submittal management, change orders and budget. Pro and Business include a submittal extractor, but not submittal management.

What happens if I add users during an annual Fieldwire plan?

Fieldwire bills each extra user at the monthly rate, $54, $79 or $104 depending on your tier, on the first of the following month. The charge repeats every month until you buy an annual licence for that person, prorated to your renewal date, or remove them.

Can I cancel Fieldwire at any time?

Fieldwire says there are no long-term contracts and that you can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Account tab. Removing a single user produces a credit against your next charge.

Does Fieldwire have an unlimited-user plan?

Not at a list price. Fieldwire offers unlimited-user options through custom contracts, which its pricing page says start at 50 licences. Its sales team quotes those individually.

How we worked this out

We built this report from Fieldwire's own published material on October 5, 2026. Here is what we did:

  1. Read the annual and monthly prices, the plan comparison and the pricing FAQ on Fieldwire's pricing page, including the prices it shows in each currency.
  2. Read four help center articles on billing: Pricing and Overages, the subcontractor Q&A, the guide to renewals and extra users, and Account Management and Pricing.
  3. Multiplied the list prices out for teams of 5 to 40, and worked out the discount percentages and the mid-term licence comparison ourselves.
  4. Checked Fieldwire's figures against Capterra's listing and read the review scores on Software Advice, both on the same day.

What we did not do: we did not use a paid Fieldwire account or request a custom quote, and the figures leave out sales tax, VAT and any discount Fieldwire's sales team might offer. Fieldwire and Hilti did not sponsor or review this report. SubShare is the one product we sell, and its section is labeled.

Prices change. If a figure here is out of date, email [email protected] and we will correct it and update the date on this page.
